“So likewise ye, except ye utter by the tongue words easy to be understood, how shall it be known what is spoken? for ye shall speak into the air. There are, it may be, so many kinds of voices in the world, and none of them is without signification. Therefore if I know not the meaning of the voice, I shall be unto him that speaketh a barbarian, and he that speaketh shall be a barbarian unto me.” [I Corinthians 14:9-11; KJV]

God's word demonstrates the importance of being understood. Our communications become meaningless when we do not comprehend what others are saying to us, and they don't understand our words. Good communication skills are an important element to strong positive relationships. When people are not skilled in some of the aspects of conversing, destructive behaviors may result damaging trust and respect elements within a relationship. parenTTeen for CHRIST uses biblical scriptures to help build trust and respect as both you and your teenager progress through new stages of life. Hands on activities guide you through good listening skills, develop positive communicating behaviors and create a vision for your relationship.

parenTTeen for CHRIST is a 3-hour workshop for parents and their pre-teen and teenaged child or children, and designed to teach positive communication behaviors, so you can glorify God in all your speaking. Skills learned in this workshop are tranferrable to all kinds of relationships including other family members, coworkers, church family members and more. Nine carefuly chosen passages from the Holy Bible are an integral part of this workshop. eMail me to schedule a class email Sandi Morscheck

Efficacious Listening for CHRIST

“…a time to keep silence and a time to speak.” [Ecclesiastes 3:7; KJV]

Solomon gave us these wise words, as God showed him the importance of learning when to speak and when to keep silent. Communicating with others involves listening and relating. Listening requires us to hold silent until the time for speaking is ripe. Efficacious Listening helps develop positive listening skills, introduces specific body language associated with listening, and explores the role fear plays in negative communication behaviors. Learn how efficacious listening can be a part of your solution to improve communications with others. eMail me to schedule a class email Sandi Morscheck

Carefully selected scriptures are given to demonstrate how God's word instructs Christians how to communicate with others in a positive manner.

Efficacious Relating for CHRIST

“A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit.” [Proverbs 15:4; KJV]

This proverb given in Chapter 15 verse 4 holds a powerful message. God tells us that what we say can soothe others or cause suffering and damage to our listener. Efficacious Relating helps develop positive relating skills, examines personal space, introduces body language associated with relating, and explores the role fear plays in negative communication behaviors. Learn how efficacious relating can be a part of your solution to improve communications with others. eMail me to schedule a class email Sandi Morscheck
